This privacy notice has been prepared under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform, to inform people who visit our website, use our contact form or otherwise contact us.

3. Purposes of Processing

• To review your requests, questions and quote requests and respond to you,
• To carry out contract processes related to our products and services,
• To keep the website running securely and correctly and remember your language preference,
• To ensure information security and prevent misuse and automated (bot) submissions,
• To comply with our legal obligations and respond to requests from competent authorities.

4. Collection Method and Legal Grounds

Your personal data is collected electronically through the contact form, cookies and server logs on our website, and directly from you by email and phone. It is processed on the following legal grounds under Article 5(2) of KVKK:

• it is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract (quote and service requests),
• it is necessary for us to comply with a legal obligation,
• it is necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right,
• it is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (information security, responding to requests).

Non-essential third-party content (Google Maps) is loaded only on the basis of the explicit consent you give through your cookie preferences.

5. Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data may be transferred, limited to the purposes above and to the extent necessary, to:

• our suppliers providing hosting, email and IT services,
• where necessary to fulfil your request, business partners who manufacture the product or service you are interested in,
• legally authorised public institutions.

Through Google reCAPTCHA, used on the contact and login forms, and Google Maps, loaded only with your consent, certain technical data (such as IP address and browser information) may be transmitted to Google servers located abroad. Transfers abroad are carried out in accordance with Article 9 of KVKK.

6. Retention Period

Your personal data is retained for as long as required by the purpose of processing and by the retention and limitation periods set out in the applicable legislation. When these periods end, your data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Your Rights

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to apply to the data controller to:

• learn whether your personal data is processed,
• request information if it has been processed,
• learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose,
• know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred,
• request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
• request deletion or destruction under the conditions of Article 7 of KVKK,
• request that corrections, deletions and destructions be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred,
• object to a result against you arising exclusively from automated analysis,
• claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing.

8. How to Apply

You can submit requests regarding your rights, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, in writing to our address above together with information identifying you, by email to info@egebarkod.com from the email address registered in our systems, or via registered electronic mail (KEP), secure electronic signature or mobile signature to our KEP address egebarkod@hs01.kep.tr. Requests are concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest, depending on their nature; if the process requires an additional cost, the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board may apply.
